Private Nordic Leadership Forum
Nordic AML & Financial Crime Leaders Forum
20 institutions. 20 AML/FCP leaders. Five Nordic countries. One private room.
A private peer forum bringing together senior AML and Financial Crime leaders from Nordic banks, payment institutions and fintechs to exchange experience, challenge established thinking and discuss the future of financial crime prevention.
The Room
The value is who is in the room at the same time.
The value is not access to individual contacts. It is bringing different Nordic markets, institution types, perspectives and AML/FCP operating models into the same room at the same time.
Five Nordic markets. Banks, payment institutions and fintechs. A maximum of one participant per institution or group. Two uninterrupted days under Chatham House Rule.
Institutions active in the same markets may be present. Discussion is structured around how leaders approach shared AML/FCP problems — not commercial, customer or competitively sensitive matters.

Why This Forum Exists
The conversations that cannot happen on a conference stage.
Nordic AML/FCP leaders face many of the same challenges — but rarely have the opportunity to discuss openly how their institutions are actually responding.
Traditional conferences are built around speakers and audiences. This forum is built around the people in the room.
- No large audience.
- No vendor pitches.
- No attribution.
- No passive conference experience.
The objective is practical peer intelligence between leaders facing many of the same problems from different perspectives.
How the Forum Works
Challenge, experience, perspectives, debate.
30% curated framing and input. 70% facilitated peer exchange.
A challenge is framed. Participants describe actual experience. Peer perspectives are put against it. The discussion is debated openly. The learning is collective.
No long presentations. No vendor pitching. Participants are expected to contribute actively.
Leadership Questions
Organised around leadership questions, not conference topics.
- What are Nordic institutions seeing that others may be missing?
- Where are AML resources producing insufficient risk reduction?
- Which controls and operating models would leaders redesign today?
- What have institutions implemented that did not work as expected?
- How are financial-crime risks changing across borders and institution types?
Cross-Sector Intelligence
Banks, payment institutions and fintechs often see different parts of the same financial-crime ecosystem. The value is understanding the actual risk rather than relying on sector assumptions.
- Cross-border payment risk
- Information gaps between banks, payment institutions and fintechs
- Emerging typologies
- Lessons learned across sectors
AI in AML/FCP
When financial institutions use AI — criminals will too.
AML/FCP remains the core of the forum. AI is treated as a major strategic pillar of it — from both sides of the equation.
Financial institutions using AI
- Transaction monitoring
- Investigations and alert handling
- AI agents and human-in-the-loop
- Governance and model risk
Criminals using AI
- Deepfakes and synthetic identities
- AI-enabled fraud and social engineering
- AI-assisted sanctions evasion
- Autonomous agents
What should a Nordic AML/FCP leader be doing about this now?
Nordic AML × AI Exchange
A potential signature forum format.
Each participating institution may be invited to briefly share three things, followed by facilitated discussion — not 20 corporate presentations.
- 1
What are we currently doing with AI within AML/FCP?
- 2
What have we learned — including what has not worked?
- 3
What are we considering next?
20 institutions.
20 perspectives on AML/FCP + AI.
Shared privately between peers.
Professional Outcome
What you take back to your institution.
Understanding and perspective — not confidential institutional information or proprietary benchmarking.
- How Nordic peers are approaching the same AML/FCP problems
- A cross-sector view from banks, payment institutions and fintechs
- Practical lessons from what has worked — and what has not
- How peers are approaching AI within AML/FCP
- A reference point for your own priorities and operating model
- Blind spots you had not considered
Forum Principles
How participation is structured.
Chatham House Rule
Participants may use the information received, but neither the identity nor affiliation of speakers or participants may be revealed in connection with specific comments.
Peer-to-Peer
Practitioners speaking with practitioners.
Curated Participation
The room is deliberately balanced across countries and institution types.
One Institution — One Seat
Maximum one participant from each institution or group.
No Vendor Pitching
Solutions and experiences can be discussed. Nothing is being sold to the room.
Practical Experience
Operational reality, lessons learned and actual challenges rather than abstract theory.
Active Participation
This is not designed for passive attendance.
Inaugural Edition
Costa del Sol · May 2027
The inaugural Nordic AML & Financial Crime Leaders Forum is being developed for the Costa del Sol in May 2027. Participation will be limited to a maximum of 20 Nordic AML/FCP leaders, with one participant per institution.
The final date, venue and participation package will be confirmed after founding interest has been validated.
Why Outside the Nordics
The forum is the product and the participants are the scarce asset. Costa del Sol is the setting chosen to support the format: neutral ground outside participants' home markets, away from headquarters and daily interruptions, with the group remaining together between sessions and over dinner. Two concentrated days create a level of continuity that is difficult to achieve in a standard 09:00–16:00 conference format.
